As some of you will be aware, Dr Chris Forester Chair of The National Counselling Society is leaving the society today and heading to pastures new.
We didn’t want to see Chris go without taking a moment to say thank you to him for all he has done to support us over the last couple of years. What you may not know is that Chris was one of the first Chairs/people to reach out and support CTUK. We faced a lot of opposition from the very beginning and at times this felt very lonely. So it is with heartfelt gratitude that we take a moment to thank Chris for all his work and for his ongoing support. It has been his dedication to building connections and promoting counselling that has seen NCS pair up with CTUK in multiple projects – to the benefit of our mutual members. This wouldn’t have happened if Chris had not reached out.
Chris, you have brought a lot to the profession over the last 20 (something!) years and I am sure you will be missed by many.
We wish you all the best for the future and look forward to getting to know your replacement Chair soon.
Keep in touch!
Best wishes
Maria and team
