Base 51 has secured funding for three years from Children in Need to establish a new project to work with children and young people living in temporary accommodation in the City of Nottingham. The long term effect of surviving (not thriving) in this environment impacts young people’s mental health, physical health and reaching their full potential at school and college – contributing to longer term impacts.

Our Project Counsellor will work with the young people who have engaged with the Project to access our bespoke counselling service, utilising a range of therapeutic approaches, where they will be able to help young people make sense of the situation they find themselves in and address their anxieties in a safe and supportive way.

The post-holder will ordinarily be based at NGY in the city centre.

Please request a pack by email or telephone. You will then be sent a number of documents including job description and application form.

Please ensure you read the guidance thoroughly and complete the application form in full, referring to the person specification. CVs are not accepted.

Contact Tammy Gibson (Counselling Manager) for further information about the post.
