I am friendly, approachable, empathetic, easy-going and easy to talk too. I’m a very motivated and work-oriented person, so helping clients to become motivated and reach their goals and full potential is my forte.

My ultimate aim is to help you build resilience, so you can cope with the issues life throws at you and empower you to improve your Mental Health, well-being, manage your life effectively and improve it. .

I was recently chosen as winner of the Best Private Practice Awards 2020, on National Counsellors Day.

As well as providing Counselling and Animal Assisted Therapy I also provide Rewind Trauma Therapy for children age 4 plus upto & including adults.

All therapy takes place in a comfortable private therapy room. It has ramped access, and drinks machine. All you discuss is kept confidential, and without any judgement.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is key, based on trust we work together through your issues. I work from a Humanistic approach integrating therapeutic modals/tools as required, for example, using CBT, Solution Focused, etc.
The Therapy moves at your pace, with what you wish to discuss. The more you offload and emerge yourself in the process, the better your results.

The initial assessment, it takes an hour and a half to two hours. This assessment is at a reduced rate and includes free time to discuss your issues. I assess your starting point, taking into account your level of mood, anxiety and overall well-being. This is repeated Usually weekly to show any risk or improvement & evidence any change. Clients having had therapy with me have had a good success rate, (evidence of this is available to view).
After the Counselling assessment, we complete some paperwork and book your next session (no obligation).

A bit about me. During my Counselling training and running a pet care business, I have discovered the true value of how therapeutic animals are for people. The reason for pursuing training in Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT).
Since training, I have been running my private practice three years and the results have been great. Clients have said they found their sessions with cats relaxing, it lowered their anxiety, improved their mood and increased their self-esteem. So if you would like your face to face sessions with a therapy pet, cat or dog, then let me know.

When stroking a pet it releases feel-good hormones for you and the pet. It brings about great health benefits like lowering blood pressure, lowering stress and anxiety levels, improving mood, help build self-esteem, lowering heart rate, helping with depression, and building confidence, etc. Neisha is the main Therapy cat pet, she is totally devoted to her clients, and works along with her assistant Molly. Molly is a great model to practice your relationship skills on, as she has anxiety, so using a gentle kind approach it vital to form a bond. Also available is a small therapy dog, or a robot cat for the more frail and older person.

If AAT is not for you, I offer Counselling sessions without animals. Not everyone likes or wants to handle pets. If your allergic then don’t worry the therapy room is deep cleaned before your come.

I have previous experience of working in Care & Nursing, Mental Health, Social Care Management, Disability and illness, which has given me a broad knowledge base of local services, running businesses, the Health Care system & living with and managing disabilities.
I can help with a vast array of issues like stress, exam pressure, low self-esteem, abuse, trauma, depression, illness and disability, anxiety, panic attacks, PTSD, OCD, anger, relationships, divorce, parenting, loss plus many more.
Why not try a Counselling with a difference!
